But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
How stubborn we would be, to keep going the wrong way--when the Lord reaches out to us so much like He did for Pharaoh. The Lord keeps working in our lives in two different ways, both punishing us when we sin, and rewarding us when we do what's right and seek Him.
If you are one of His people, He has done everything that you need in order to do what is right...you just need to make the right choice.
Psalm 23:4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
