And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
When the Lord told Abraham that the Lord would be his exceeding great reward,
and that Abraham would have a biological son who would be his heir (even though he and his wife were old), he believed God. We should believe God when we know it is His Word that says something, even if it is hard for us to believe. For example, sometimes His Word convicts us of sin, and it is hard for us to accept that we should repent, but we should still believe the Lord and do what He says.
