two different ways people could walk

2 Peter 3

Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

The scoffers were just walking in selfishness, pursuing their own pleasures. How are you and I walking, today?

17,18

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.

We, even when we are steadfast right now, should be careful that we aren't deceived into falling. We should grow in the Lord.

    great! I have been walking selfishly a lot lately.
