If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This is a verse that most of us have probably heard a lot of times, but it's still a very good and important verse. If we have to be sneaky about our behavior, and hide it from somebody, that is probably a bad sign. The simple key of humbling ourselves to the point of confessing when we have sinned, is a very powerful way to get free from addictive bad habits and receive an abundant life of joy.
v4And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
