Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2 Timothy 3 starts out warning us about ungodly people who we need to turn away from, whose foolishness (v9) will be revealed to everyone. It says these creeps (I call them because of v6) are ...lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
That is the convicting part to me.
This doesn't say that there's anything wrong with pleasures themselves. God has given good things to us that He has created for us to enjoy. But we need love the giver more than the gift, not love the creature more than the creator.
