But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
We should always be ready to answer people and tell them the good news of Jesus, in case they ask us some question that gives us that chance. This verse reminds me of:
2 Timothy 4:2aPreach the word; be instant in season, out of season...
Application
I'll think about how to answer and share the gospel with people, not just when I'm going out in a special time to preach the gospel, but anytime during the ordinary course of a day.
