And they said one to another, We [are] verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
Maybe we're set in our ways and think that we're right, but when people entreat us we should still listen and consider it.
Application
James 3:17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
One thing it says about this wisdom, is that it is easy to be intreated.
Even when I wouldn't be inclined to listen to what other people have to say about my behavior, I'll give it some prayerful consideration anyway.
