There was a question of what the Lord could do. Sure, He could make a blind man see, but could he heal a man on the verge of death? He could do better than that. He would raise him from the dead.
The point isn't that "We should check whether a person's miracles are powerful enough, to see if the person is true." Because #666 will have much deceitful power, including to give life to an image. But the point is to have a relationship with the Lord, and know and believe Him.
