After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.
The Lord said that He was Abram's exceeding great reward.
When we're tempted with the rewards of sin we should remember that if we believe in the Lord instead, He is our exceeding great reward.
Application
Sometimes when I've been tempted to sin lately, I tried to think of a Bible verse or truth to combat it. I'll think of this one next time.
