And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
The Lord was warning that the king of Assyria was going to enslave Epypt and Ethiopia. People couldn't trust in Egypt and Ethiopia instead of trusting in the Lord.
We should trust in the Lord and not in somebody or something else instead.
