They also that seek after my life lay snares [for me]: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.When we imagine things we shouldn't, we end up saying things we shouldn't. What do you imagine all day long?
We shouldn't imagine deceits.
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.We need to delight in the Lord.
We should trust in Him.
He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way [that is] not good; he abhorreth not evil.When we need something to hate, we shouldn't hate other people or our situation. We should hate the sin in our own lives.
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.This verse says, "...let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified...". That's why I'm in the habit of writing, "Let the Lord be magnified." on things I write.
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;If we have charity, we won't be provoked easily.
Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.Different times throughout today I should think about keeping myself from saying evil things.
Behold, the eye of the LORD [is] upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;We should fear the Lord and hope in His mercy. It's a great promise that His eye will be on us.
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him."The floods of great waters" makes me think of having a hard time. When we're having a hard time, that's the time to pray to the Lord.
It says, "in a time when thou mayest be found". We should pray to the Lord when we have a chance, instead of putting it off.
For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.If we feel like we're not getting through to the Lord, we should still cry to Him, because He has great goodness "laid up for them that fear" Him.
For his anger [endureth but] a moment; in his favour [is] life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy [cometh] in the morning.
Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;We should sing to the Lord and give Him thanks, because even when we're unhappy for a time, we have a great hope in Him.
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.When we do things like singing, praying, and reading Psalms in worship meetings, we should focus on really worshiping the Lord and giving Him glory with those things.
Blessed [be] the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.This Psalm talks a lot about crying to the Lord. There's a prayer meeting I usually go to that we're not having this time. I should have a time of prayer anyway.
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.I shouldn't think selfishly.
Greet Mary, who bestowed much labour on us.We should labor very much in the Lord. We should be diligent with the work we have to do.
Hear, O LORD, [when] I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.A way to wait on the Lord and seek him is to cry with your voice.
Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; [therefore] I shall not slide.Today, we should think about how we should be trusting in the Lord.
What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.I want the Lord to teach me, so I should fear the Lord.
But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup.
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.If we want to receive a blessing from the Lord, we should have a pure heart.
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.I want to be filled with all joy and peace, and to abound in hope, but the way to be like that is "in believing". We should work on believing the Lord.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.If we feel bad because we're not sure what to do, we should be encouraged that the Lord promised that He leads us.
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring?Praise the Lord that Jesus was forsaken for us.
Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: [so] will we sing and praise thy power.We should praise the Lord.
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.I'm very glad to have this promise from the Lord. When I've been praying, the Lord will hear.
Let no man seek his own, but every man another's [wealth].When I eat today, I'll pray for the Lord to save a certain person I know of who needs saved.
More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.We should desire the Lord's Word.
For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy GhostThese are 3 things I really want in my life:
For he that in these things serveth Christ [is] acceptable to God, and approved of men.I'll remember what these 3 things are, and to serve Christ in these things.
I will call upon the LORD, [who is worthy] to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.Even if it seems like the Lord doesn't hear me, He does, and I should keep praying.
Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, [that goeth] not out of feigned lips.We should think about what we pray, and make sure it's not fake.
