Isaiah 10:15
Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? [or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake [itself] against them that lift it up, [or] as if the staff should lift up [itself, as if it were] no wood.When a bride speaks to others, would it really be Love, for her to boast of her own value?
Shouldn't she boast about the bridegroom instead? Even Jesus came to serve, not to be served. We need to trust that He will lift us up, and we need to be too busy lifting him up, to exalt ourselves.
He will build his Church. We won't build it by aligning all the details of an outward format of meeting.
Instead of inviting people "to Church", invite people to Him!
